ENVolve.2

|
This piece is a representative output created using the ENVolve program. I designed this program in C++ to create a series of manifold compositions. The pieces are all generated from a simple envelope shape. The user provides a series of points which are then interpolated to create an envelope shape. From this shape all of the sound decisions are made without user intervention. The only user inputs are the envelope segments and the length of the work; all other data is generated by the program. The sounds were realized at the Computer Music Project at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign using DIASS and M4C.
This work was premiered at the 2002 SEAMUS conference.
